Nov 2008 Media Week: Admedia hires Goodstuff for out-of-home expansion

Goodstuff, the communications planning agency, has been appointed by outdoor and experiential media owner Admedia to help reposition the company in the out-of-home marketplace.

The move comes as Admedia looks to aggressively expand its business, with the public goal of doubling its size in the next three years, and follows the arrival of managing director Garry Lace in July.

Goodstuff has been asked to commission and manage a significant research project, generating insights that challenge preconceptions about the company.

The work will culminate in a profile-raising trade campaign aimed at clients, media, outdoor specialists and planners.

Lace said he hopes the appointment will help to differentiate the company's products in the minds of agencies and clients alike. He added: "It was obvious after one meeting that Andrew and his team understood our business and could help us massively in probably our most important task for next years."

Admedia currently operates a variety of media in shopping centres, 131 motorway services and more than 1,500 nightclubs, bars, restaurants and health clubs.

Earlier this year, Marc Mendoza, managing partner at Havas-owned MPG, also joined the company as a non-executive director and Jonathan Lewis, the former managing director of Clear Channel Billboards joined as chairman.
