From The Seed Of A Mad Idea

Admedia was founded in 1995. Our name came from the anagram MAD IDEA, which sums up how we began – from the seed of a mad idea.

After researching washroom advertising and discovering that it was a totally untapped market, Admedia was set up with the aim of providing businesses of all sizes with captive advertising space at point of sale in retail and leisure destinations.

By 1997, we had signed up major landlords including the owners of the key Motorway Service Areas and many of the UK’s top Shopping Malls. That year also saw the nationwide rollout with the first client, Johnson & Johnson, which was closely followed by publishing company IPC Media.

A few years later, we started to also branch out into more traditional advertising such as 6 Sheet advertising. Our portfolio of advertising formats and the environments in which we offer them has grown rapidly into a diverse portfolio which attracts all sorts of audiences – including sports fans, motorists, students, new parents and professionals as they go about their day’s business.

We work with advertising agencies and outdoor specialists who book space  with us for the UK’s biggest brands, as well take bookings direct from clients, providing them with local advertising solutions.

We are a West End-based team which works to the highest operational standards to ensure a professional campaign at all times – no matter whether you’re a big brand or a local advertiser.
